Abstract: An LD-end-pumped Nd:YVO4 crystal 593nm yellow laser by intracavity sum-frequency mixing (SFM) is repor-ted. With one plane-curved cavity dual-wavelength operation, 1064nm and 1342nm, is realized. By LBO Intracavity SFM 593 nm laser is attained. With 1.4W pump power 70mW output power at 593nm was observed. The far field divergence angle of 593nm is less than 1 mrad and the ellipticity of the output beam is 0.999 . Low-noise characteristic has been proved at the same time.The experiment show that this is the useful method to obtain solid state yellow laser with diffraction limit.

An LD-end-pumped Nd∶YVO4 crystal 593nm yellow laser with BIBO intra-cavity sum-frequency mixing (SFM) was reported.Using a plane-curved cavity,dual-wavelength operation,1 064 nm and 1 342 nm,is realized.When pump power reached 1.4 W,48.5 mW output power at 593 nm with intra-cavity SFM was observed.The ellipticity of the output beam is 0.90,and the noise is less than 0.5%.
